This Country..................:)

This country is just fantastic ,reasons, NHS, take the NHS, you turn up in A&E and four hours later you have been examined by a triage Nurse and a Dr.  Where else would this happen ,,please let me know....It hasn't cost you anything ,you sit there moaning and complaining about the tea machine and the staff,, you moan about the receptionist  ,like she has medical training and can help you, then you moan about having to wait for a bed if you are deemed suitably unwell for admission to the hospital.
On entering the ward area you complain about not having the correct night attire for your convenience ,and you complain about your water not being cold enough to drink, you then lay awake for most of the night and press the nurse call button for some pain relief ,,which I might add is prescribed by the Dr who admitted you and not the nurse ,or support worker who has settled you into your bed and fetched your water and night clothes.
You then complain about the other people in the bay you are sharing with, they are to noisy or to rude ,they have a medical condition also but you don't understand that ,and we cant tell you because of patient confidentiality , but you ,well, you start to interfere with there problem and tell them to to do all the things we have spent days telling them not to do.
come the morning and ,guess what ,you are tired , you haven't slept all night ,what do we want at this hour of the day,,,,your bed needs changing and you need to wash ,then theres your breakfast , You don't like what we have to offer ,toast cereal, grapefruit, no, you are used to something far more exciting for your breakfast, like, Macdonalds, full English,,as if.....
You always end up having tea or coffee, you then start watching all the other patients and what they are up to,,oh and I forgot ,you don't understand Dementia and its impact on everything around it.
Why is bed 2 not eating why is bed 2 walking around ,why is bed 2 watching me, then you start pressing the nurse call on their behalf..
You want a scan , you want pain relief , you want to see a Dr ,what time is the Dr coming, why is nobody doing anything for you................................
visitors arrive later and guess what...can we have fresh water ,,can you tell us whats  happening,,can you tell me why  they aren't eating ,, and so it all begins again ,over and over and over and over ,with every relative or phone call .
Then as you start to feel better you want to go home...We haven't done anything for you after all, we are now holding you prisoner and you are angry and you demand on knowing what is holding your discharge up. you have things to do , you cant hang around the hospital all day.And so the moaning begins all over again ......................................................................
